- What key thing do you think about when figuring out what to wear? To be honest, I try not to think about what I wear too much. I try not to let material things define who I am. At one point, I thought about choosing a combination of clothes and creating a kind of uniform, that I could just wear every day. One of my good friends, Jenny Chung, owner of Acrimony and ACRE in San Francisco, has a great eye for style and convinced me otherwise. Her advice - narrow my clothing collection to simple things that all look good together, so that I would not have to think about what combinations of things I put on. For footwear, I put on my trusty Timberland Wodehouse Chukka Boots ($300) - they look good with everything.
- Any favorite lesser known brands you want to give us the scoop on? I have a couple pieces from ISAORA, what are really well designed and made. I’ve also been wearing pieces from Wings + Horns which are of great quality. Most of my button down shirts are from Gitman Brothers. They’ve got lots of different colors and patterns for any occasion.
- Favorite accessory to finish it off? What brand? Pretty much the only accessory I wear is the Timex Camper Watch ($38). Perfect for those with active lifestyles. I wear mine out in about 2 years (I never take it off), and then replace it with the same one. I’m currently on my third...
